Dustin Bates: CEO
In 2000, after studying Horticulture at Stephen F. Austin State University, Dustin Bates started a small business known as The Landscape Company. He closed the business briefly in January of 2003 when he was called to active duty by the Marine Corps where he spent 9 months overseas. When he returned home at the end of 2003 he expanded and renamed the company to Dustin Bates Company, LLC or DBC to allow for better exposure with the individual homeowner. In 2010 he again expanded his portfolio and began to build custom homes and luxury boathouses. Bates Construction continues to be one of the premier providers of design and construction services in East Texas.
